Answers, gently given
Frequently asked questions
We know you may have questions at a difficult time. Here are the ones families ask us most — and you’re always welcome to call and ask anything else.
Getting started
My pet has just passed away — what do I do now?
First, take a breath — there’s no rush, and you don’t have to manage this alone. When you’re ready, call us on 0468 060 402. We’ll talk you through everything calmly, arrange gentle collection from your home or vet, and care for the rest. If it’s after hours, our emergency line is here for you.
Do I have to bring my pet to you?
No. We come to you. We offer gentle collection from your home or veterinary clinic right across metropolitan Adelaide, so you never have to move your pet yourself.
Are you available after hours?
Our regular hours are 8:30am – 7:00pm, and we also have an after-hours emergency line for urgent situations. If you need us outside normal hours, please call — we’re here to help.
About cremation
What’s the difference between individual and communal cremation?
With individual (private) cremation, your pet is cremated on their own and their ashes are returned to you. With communal cremation, several pets are cremated together and the ashes are not returned but respectfully scattered. We offer both and will help you choose without any pressure.
How do I know the ashes returned are really my pet’s?
With our individual cremation, your pet is cremated on their own — so the ashes returned to you are only ever your pet’s. Your pet is identified and cared for individually at every stage of our process.
How long until I receive my pet’s ashes?
For an individual cremation, ashes are typically ready to return within 5–10 days. We’ll confirm the timeframe when you book and keep you updated throughout.
What kinds of pets do you cremate?
We care for dogs and cats of every size, as well as rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, ferrets, reptiles, rodents and other small and exotic pets. Larger animals can often be accommodated by arrangement — just ask.
Pricing & collection
How much does pet cremation cost in Adelaide?
The cost depends mainly on your pet’s size and whether you choose individual or communal cremation, plus any urns or keepsakes. We’ll always explain the full cost clearly before anything proceeds — please call us for a gentle, no-obligation quote for your pet.
Is there a collection fee?
We collect from across metropolitan Adelaide — a pick-up fee may apply depending on your location. We’ll always confirm any cost before we proceed.
Which areas do you serve?
We serve families across metropolitan Adelaide and surrounding South Australia, including the northern, southern, eastern and western suburbs and the Adelaide Hills. A pick-up fee may apply for outer areas.
Keepsakes & support
Do you provide keepsakes like paw prints?
Yes — a complimentary clay paw print and fur clipping are included with every individual cremation. We also offer a range of urns, keepsake pendants and personalisation options.
Can you help with grief and pet loss?
We offer gentle guidance and can point you to pet-loss support resources around Adelaide and online. Losing a pet is a real grief, and we’re always a kind voice when you need one.
Still have a question?
There’s no question too small. Call us any time — we’ll answer gently and honestly.
